Day 1
The first stop on our active tour of Poland is Krakow. It is a city full of legends, priceless monuments of architecture and art. It is also the historical capital of Poland with a center inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Architectural and urban complex of the old Kraków is ranked among the most important monuments of cultural heritage in the world. On the first day you will visit the Wawel Castle, the centuries-old seat of kings and a symbol of Polish statehood. From Wawel Castle it is not far to the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz. It is a unique district of Kraków and a place of great importance for Jewish culture. Kraków’s Kazimierz is home to seven synagogues, which lure visitors with their unique architecture and diverse interiors. You will visit Kraków on a bike with our guide!
Day 2
The second day in Krakow will be even more active! You will see places less "touristy" and a bit further from the center, but equally beautiful. We will begin our cycling trip with a ride to the Zakrzówek Reservoir. We will also see a very interesting district of Cracow - Podgórze, where you will have a chance to walk up the colorful stairs and visit a beautiful church. Just before sunset you will see Cracow from the top of one of the hills - Krakus Mound. In the evening we will take you for a walk in Kazimierz, the former Jewish district, full of narrow streets and atmospheric cafes. If you are in good physical shape, we will visit places a little more distant from Cracow, such as the Benedictine Abbey and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska!
Day 3
After breakfast we will set off for Ojców National Park, which is located very close to Krakow and is an ideal place to spend an active vacation. On the spot we will rent bicycles and go on a tour of the area. First we will look into the Bat Cave and watch for bats. This cave amazes not only with its size. You can admire there beautiful stalactites forming the shape of braids and waterfalls. Deeper parts of the cave are inhabited by bats, which gave the cave its name. In 1998 a sequence of the film "With Fire and Sword", one of the most important films in Polish cinematography, was shot in the cave chambers. We will also see the ruins of medieval castles in Ojcow and Pieskowa Skala. Finally, the more courageous ... will have the opportunity to see the Ojców National Park from a bird's eye view, because we can organize a balloon flight for you!
Day 4
After breakfast we will head to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. From ancient times, salt was evaporated there from natural salty springs. The drying up of these springs led people to search for salt underground. The three-kilometer-long hiking route takes visitors through some of the 20 large chambers that are open to the public at depths ranging from 64 to 135 meters. As this is a tour for the active, we will visit it in a slightly different way... Together with your guide, you will wander inside the underground salt labyrinth, exploring the mysterious and rough chambers around the oldest preserved shaft. Different tasks will await you, such as searching for salt, testing the concentration of methane, or finding the right route underground!
Day 5
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour to Zakopane to see the most famous mountain town in Poland. The cult of Zakopane is created not only by its tourist and culinary attractions, but also by its amazing atmosphere and fascinating history. In Zakopane, you will visit the Tatra Museum and see the ski jump. Then, from Zakopane you will go trekking in the mountains. If you are in good physical shape, our guide will take you on a trek to the magnificent Mount Giewont! Giewont, shrouded in numerous legends, towers majestically over Zakopane, a symbol of both the city and the entire Tatra Mountains. A trip to the top is a great idea for active sightseeing and will undoubtedly provide you with a lot of excitement and delicious views. After reaching the top you will return to Zakopane!
Day 6
From the guest house in Zakopane we will go to a beautifully situated village - Sromowce Niżne. There we will board rafts and for a few hours we will sail down the picturesque river. The Dunajec River Rafting is the biggest tourist attraction in the Polish mountains. The tradition of rafting on a wooden raft built of narrow logs linked together dates back to the first half of the 19th century. During the rafting trip guides will tell you legends of the Pieniny and show you the most interesting places on the route. Then we will go to see the castle in Niedzica. From the castle, located right by the lake, we will take a boat to the other shore, where we will visit another beautiful castle of Czorsztyn. If you still have the strength and desire, we can also organize a trekking to one of the peaks!
Day 7
The last day of the tour will depend largely on your flight time. If your flight is early in the morning, our driver will take you to the airport right after breakfast. If your flight isn't until the afternoon or evening, you will still have plenty of time to buy souvenirs, although be aware that you will already have a lot of souvenirs from places you will have visited previously! Additionally there will be a surprise gift waiting for you from our team... On the last day you will also have time for a slow walk around the Krakow Market Square and Kazimierz District. Of course, we can take you to one or two more places, if you like. At the end of your stay we would also love to take you out for dinner to reminisce about all the places we visited during the tour!
